Snoofa v21.34 Released

Modified on Thu, 30 Jun, 2022 at 1:24 PM

We have some good news to share with you. There are some great updates to Snoofa with our latest release, v21.34.

New naming convention

We’ve changed the way we are naming Snoofa releases. Now, the version will indicate the date when the release was made, with the year followed by the week in the year. So this release is v21 (2021) .34 (the 34th week of the year).

⭐️ New Features

New Manual Lotting Settings: Lot sequence not changing

ADMIN

Up until now, if a lot was removed from the auction catalogue, this could change the numbers of subsequent lots and they would all shift one space.

However, this is not always desirable. Some auction houses will assign specific lot numbers as lots are added to an auction, meaning that if they change there could be discrepancies.

Now it is possible to avoid this as there is a new lotting setting: Manual. When this is chosen, the lot sequence will not change if other lots are added or removed. This can be done when creating or editing an auction.

% Discretionary Reserve as a Percentage

ADMIN

It is now possible to record discretionary reserve as a percentage, rather than simply Yes or No. This gives greater flexibility to offer clients a custom discretionary reserve.

Any figure entered here will appear on the presale and consignment PDFs, as well at the paper auctioneer’s book.

Any items that were marked for discretionary reserve (DR) before this change was made will be updated to show 10%, and items that were not marked for DR will be left blank.

Small Tweaks

Ready for Sale Label

ADMIN

We’ve added to the label on the auction catalogue submenu, so it is now possible to see how many of the lots in the auction are ready for the auction launch.

In the example below, 181 of the 182 lots in the auction have the required information for auction launch.

Remember, you can filter the lots that are not ready, by using the Lot is not ready filter on the catalogue.

Online Valuation Image Improvements

ADMIN

We’ve made some improvements to the online valuation image widget. It is now possible to click on any of the images to produce the zoomed in views, and these images can be scrolled forward and back more easily.

ADMIN

We’ve now added the British Crown Dependancies into the country list, so these can be chosen as a client’s country. Added to the list are:

  • Isle of Man

  • Guernsey

  • Jersey

Better Display of Auction Information

WEB

To make the auction catalogue tidier and easier to navigate, the auction information (description and other details) will now not show by default, only after the user clicks the More Information button. This allows them to minimise the information, which could potentially take up a lot of space, after they no longer need to see it.

️ Icon on Compliance Tab

ADMIN

When a client has submitted their ID documents for an administrator to check, there will now be a warning icon on the compliance tab of the client submenu. This will make it easier to know where to navigate to in order to check the documents.

ID Registration Text Change in Client Zone

CLIENT ZONE

When a client has submitted their ID documents for an administrator to check, and they are declined, there is now improved messaging in the client zone:

The ID you submitted has been rejected. Please upload valid ID to become certified.

This will make clear to registrants that they need to upload alternative documents.

Allow Client to Upload ID Files from their Device

CLIENT ZONE

When a client is uploading their ID for approval, they can do so by using the camera scan, or by uploading the document from their computer (or other device).

The camera scan is the default option, but we’ve now added a clear button so clients can choose the upload if they prefer.
