GAP - the saleroom Integration

We’ve made the process of running Auctions through the-saleroom.com (TSR) easier. Snoofa has integration with GAP (Global Auction Platform), which is the portal that publishes Auctions onto the-saleroom.com & other ATG aggregating websites such as lot-tissimo.com. This enables you to sync your Snoofa instance with GAP, which brings.

  • Easy uploading of a Catalogue to TSR - no need to download a CSV file as well as all of the images

  • During a Live Auction you are able to download Bidder Registrations & Bids that have happened on TSR so they exist in Snoofa

  • Any changes made to the Auction catalogue in Snoofa can be quickly updated on TSR

How-To Upload To GAP

Auctions within Snoofa can be uploaded to GAP when they are in the Planned or In Progress states. To do this, on the Auction Dashboard, click Upload to GAP under the Actions dropdown. In order to upload the Auction to GAP, a Category for the Auction must be chosen. A category that matches one of Auction Categories in GAP must be selected. Once this is done, click Save & Upload to GAP.

Live Auctions can be uploaded to GAP via Snoofa & all Online Bidding activity can happen on TSR during the Live Auction (as well as through Snoofa’s Web Module for absentee/commission bids). It is our understanding that TSR no longer fully supports Timed Auctions, although Snoofa is able to upload Timed as well as Live Auctions to TSR.

How-To Approving & Publishing

Once uploaded, the Auction will show on the Snoofa Auction Dashboard & GAP Dashboard as Awaiting Approval. When planning when to launch an Auction, it is advisable to do this a few days in advance. Before TSR publish the Auction, they need to approve it. The process of approval can take a few days, so it is a good idea to leave enough time for this to happen.

Now the Auction has been approved for publishing on TSR the Auction Dashboard on Snoofa will display as Awaiting Start & Published on GAP.

How-To Sync With GAP

Once the Auction has been uploaded to GAP, a new button "Sync with GAP" will appear on the Auction Dashboard & under the Actions dropdown. Choose Sync with GAP, & you are then given the options to Sync Lots or Sync Winners.

Sync Lots will do exactly that, update Lot information from Snoofa to GAP. This includes images.

Sync Winners will retrieve information of Lot Winners from GAP, & if needed create accounts within Snoofa. Existing/matched accounts will pair & create needed information as required.

How-To Registrations & Bids

Any bidders imported from GAP will show in the Registrations Datagrid of the Auction. They will have the TSR paddle number & the type of registration will show as GAP.

It is worth noting that bidders imported from TSR are not subject to Snoofa’s own identity verification checks. This is because TSR performs its own checks at registration.

INFO: Clients imported from GAP automatically have a Note added saying, Imported from GAP.

If bidders being imported from TSR already exist in Snoofa (using same email) a duplicate account will not be created. If the Bidder does not already exist, they will be created as a new Client within Snoofa.

If an Absentee (commission) Bid already exists when Syncing with GAP, its value is updated to reflect the most recent amount.

To add the GAP % charge to the invoice an Item Charge for GAP needs to be created. The Saleroom Bidders can then be selected in bulk and the charge added.
