Buyer Charges - 1, 2, 3 Admin

As with most Charges, we start with System Settings > Item Charges, adding any you may need & setting the defaults. You can read more about Item Charges within System Settings here.

When you create an Auction, it takes the Buyers Charge (your commission rate) from the one you have set as the default, within System Settings. But as an Admin, you can choose to override this, by giving an individual Auction a specific Charge. Because from time to time. you may have an Auction that requires different to the default.

Making this change to an Auction is as easy as removing & adding, during Auction creation. Whatever the Auctions Buyers Charge is, it will be applied to all Lots created then after. 

Removing Buyers Charge

NOTE: Lots created before Auction Charge changes, keep that Charge.

Clients can also be given a specific Buyers Charge. Consignments then get their Charge from the Client that is the owner. Items take on the Consignments Charge they belong to. Lots created from those Items get their Charges from them.

NOTE: Lots with a Buyers Charge of type Buyers Commission, different to an Auctions, take on the Auctions Charge.
