Users - Adding New Staff
The following article is to show you how-to add new Users (your staff) to your Snoofa system. New Users will be able to access & make changes to your system, so please consider carefully who needs access, & also very importantly what level (Role) of permissions they will have.
For example, those given the Role of Owner, will see everything within your system, including financial information shown on the Dashboard. Those issued other Roles, such as Porter or Guest will not. The Specialist Role is needed for a User to be able to be assigned to a Consignment & have an online bio. Users can have multiple Roles.

Add New User
How-To Add Users
Once logged in to your Snoofa, head to Users within System Settings. Click the + Add New User button & fill out the form. There are various fields to fill out, some but not all are required.
User Form Fields
Form Field | Explanation |
---|---|
Email* | A required field, the User will need an Email address to login with. An invitation Email will be sent to the given Email, containing a link for them to verify their account & to set their password. |
First Name* | Please give the User's First Name, this is a required field. |
Last Name* | Also a required field, give the User's Last name. |
Description | An optional field, Description can be used to provide a brief bio of the User. This is shown on a lots online details, to give information about the Specialist involved. |
Phone Number | Also optional, this would be shown on an associated lots online details, related to the named Specialist. |
Preferred Time Zone | The systems default Time Zone will be used, unless this setting changed. This is very useful when a User works from abroad, as the time throughout the administration of the system will take in their time difference. |
Role* | Another required field, the Role issued to a User will allow them access or not to parts of your system. E.g. financial information shown on the Dashboard. - |
Profile URL | Optional, this field would be shown on associated Lot details, listing a named Specialist. |
Position | Another optional field, this can be used to give a User's job title. |
Photo | Lastly an optional field, giving the ability to add a profile photo to a Specialist's bio, on a Lots details. |
